Orders an XL. Short in the sleeves and scratchy. Very tight. Not sure who this would fit.

I bought the set for cold california winters upper 40s low 50s during the day.. They seem to do the job in these temps but would consider something thicker for colder temps.. I initially felt a mild itch but nothing that would detour me from taking them off.. I did some strenous activities in them initially and they wicked sweat and dried very quickly.. Even better yet the mild itch i had felt went away never to return.. I guess a wash cures that problem are a good sweat.. My girlfried felt them and now wants a set so i ordered her a pair.. I read reviews and decided to go up a size.. Im 5'6" 175 lbs and the large fit perfect.. If you have a long body type i suggest the long pair which is offered.. Buy these you wont be dissapointed even if its just louging around the house under flannel p.j.'s..

First off, I like wearing the undershirt as it is very soft, breathable, and keeps me warm. I primarily wear this under my long sleeve button-up business work shirts as my office is rather cool in the winter and summer. However, the fit on this shirt is less than perfect. I originally ordered a M which I actually tend to wear a S bc I like a tight fit. I LOATHE baggy clothes, even the slightest excess in material near the waste. I am 5'11" , 150 lbs, and have a very lean, athletic build. Once the M shirt arrived, it was obvious that this shirt wasn't going to work. While the torso fit right, the arm length was 4-5" too short, the shoulders were too small, and the armpit seem was too tight and shaped weird. I liked the material so much, and at such a good price, I decided to give them another chance and ordered an XL. This one fit much better in the shoulders to where I can fully extend my arms and back in all directions with out any tightness. The arm length could still be another inch longer though. But whatever. And the shirt is long enough to tuck into your pants, which I was skeptical at first, but now I like it. So there. Would I recommend this shirt?...Only with caution.

All our family appreciate Medima clothing items made available at STP. Wish lived close enough to drop by and do order pickup at site and avoid the shipping. Thanks Again.

  • “A lot of reviews say this runs small. If i normally wear an XL shirt, should I get this in XL (I assume as a base layer it will be close to the skin), or a XXL?”

  • “In light of the recent exposure of the horribly cruel angora harvesting methods employed in some areas of the world (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGl8DnLy2jc ), are you researching the harvesting practices of your suppliers' angora products to ensure that they are cruelty free before offering them for sale?”

    • This is a translation from Medima's website in response to PITA allegations regarding animal cruelty in harvesting angora in China:

"We are a medium sized company with 130 employees that manufactures angora in Germany for many years. Also, we are animal loving people and us is the welfare of the rabbit heart. We are taken by your organization with machinations in connection with which we have absolutely nothing to do. We only use hair shorn from rabbits. Since there are only a few farms in Germany, we have to buy hair from China. These breeds are still tracked by our hair importers and regularly visited and here no animal cruelty takes place."

    • Washing fine merino wool clothing by hand is always recommended.here are special wool washing fluids that are available that utilize cold water, so if you use one of these type products, be sure to read the label first. Submerge your garment in the water and let it soak for just three to five minutes, followed by rinsing in warm water.

    • I have been washing mine with my regular whites (I have mostly cream colored Medima tops and bottoms) and they have held up fine. I only dry them for 20 minutes or so to get some of the dryer sheet action on them to hopefully reduce the static. I then hang them that they might finish drying. Red Ram did not hold up too well.

About Medima

It is no secret that the world's softest apparel fiber comes from the docile and adorable angora rabbit. Quiet and serene by nature, these animals have been harvested for fiber production for hundreds of years, and their fur is regarded by the wool industry as "crème de la crème" for its soft silky texture and fine insulating properties. Medima has long understood the appeal of angora in the production of thermal underwear. Not only does Medima underwear bear the same celestial softness as the rabbit from whence it came, but hollow angora fibers gently trap the body's natural heat. Medima uses no harsh chemicals in its process, blending angora with wool, silk, cotton and synthetics to create the most luxurious, climate-controlled underwear you’ll ever have the pleasure of soothing over your skin.
