Merrill All Out Blaze Sieve Shoe

Wore these for the first time on a 6-mile hike in Moab, UT in sandy and rocky terrain and over/through streams - they were fantastic. The soles were grippy on the rocks and there's quite a lot of coverage on the top of your foot so my feet felt protected from low brush and rocks and warm enough even in the shady sections on the 67 degree day. I slipped and fell stepped full into the stream at one crossing so I was really glad I chose these over my regular hiking shoes which would have been submerged passed the cuff in water - these shoes dried off probably 15 minutes further along the hike. I'm a solid size 9. These shoes fit very true to size with not much extra wiggle room. My toes come almost exactly to the end of the footbed. I debated returning them for a 9.5 worried that a hike on varying terrain would bruise my toes but these were just fine. If you're worried about that or are on the longer side of your size you may want to consider sizing up a half size.
