Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mom from CA on Tuesday, November 7, 2017Lightweight, little or no breaking in, comfy.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Phil from Ashland, Oregon on Tuesday, November 7, 2017I bought these for my wife who has had trouble with ankle high hiking boots rubbing on her ankle bones. They were comfortable right out of the box with no break in needed. The shoes did start to let water in after a couple hours on a rainy hike.
So, waterproof they are not, but pretty water resistant. For this I give them a 4 instead of a 5.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Michele in FL from Florida on Monday, August 21, 2017I was skeptical of other reviews that said the shoes fit great right out of the box, but it was really true of these shoes. I put them on and went for a 2 mile walk to "break them in." They felt super comfortable with no rubbing in the toe or heel and great arch support. No breaking in needed!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by AJhiker from Texas on Thursday, August 10, 2017I loved the overall construction and look of these shoes, but ran into a huge issue after wearing them. The grommets are metal, and are anchored between the two layers of material that make up the top of the shoe. Every step I took caused the metal to push into the top of my foot, where the shoe naturally creases as I walked. I tried thicker socks, but decided it was too big an issue to risk keeping them for a major hiking trip. I ended up sending them back. I had read the reviews before buying, and no one mentioned this problem, so it could just be my foot, but I do not have issues in general, and do not have a high instep...
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sadie from Oregon on Saturday, July 29, 2017Shoe seems to be a bit on the short side. otherwise comfortable.
