5.0 out of 5 stars. Great kicksVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jessman from NY on Monday, September 10, 2018Love these sneakers...glad l followed the advice of others to order up a half-size. Great look, very comfortable...have not worn them in the wet yet, so can't comment on the water proof aspect of these.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Too NarrowVerified Buyer Reviewed by Glen from Texas on Wednesday, August 29, 2018I had read the reviews that they ran small so I ordered a size up. The shoes were still very narrow in the toes. Had to return them.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not waterproof but nice shoesReviewed by Bluegrass Shopper from Kentucky on Saturday, June 9, 2018I bought these to walk my dogs and keep my feet dry and was disappointed that they were not waterproof. I still ended up with wet socks after a 2 mile walk in dewy grass. They do quite a bit better than my regular running shoes but do not keep my feet dry. Otherwise they are very comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love These Shoes!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Folsom, CA (the town, not the joint) on Sunday, June 3, 2018I guess I've learned that Merrell shoes seem to run small so once bitten by the Merrell bug, one must always anticipate getting at least one full size up. I have some friends who say they've gone 1.5 sizes up but these recent shoes I ordered were at first, 1/2 size which was still too tight. I went up another 1/2 size for a total of a full size up (size 9 normal > size 10 final) and they fit grrrrreat!!! I wear them for fitness training as well as trail runs. A lot of compliments on the color scheme as well. Very happy with this purchase!!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excelent Shoes But Run SmallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Folsom, CA on Monday, May 28, 2018These shoes are great but consider ordering 1/2 to 1 full size up; if wide feet, order ful size up. I exchanged mine for one full size up and they fit perfect. They are in fact waterproof but because they're low rise anyway, you're not gonna go wading into water above the ankles anyway. But an occasional run through rain puddles or wet grass will keep your feet dry. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the color as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe but tightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Michael the Outdoors from Wisconsin on Friday, May 18, 2018I was happy with the look of the shoe and the options! I was a bit disappointed with the fit. I ordered my usual size and width but this shoe was more snug than what I’m used to. Especially across the top of my foot! I won’t be able to use too thick of sock.
Otherwise I really like this shoe! I’ll need to try on shoe at retail store before ordering next time! -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice hiking shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Outdoor Telly from MN on Monday, April 9, 2018True to size.
Socks stay dry in wet grass and small puddles etc. Obviously waterproof for fully submerging is not that important to me since it is below ankle but will be nice to keep warm and dry with dew from grass etc.
Some nice features and design. Metal eyelet lace guides.cordura tongue and ankle loops. Nice arch support. Removable insole.
Toe box: not what I would say is spacious but fine for actual hiking where you need to limit slipping and shifting.
Balance is very stable feeling. Tread is wide. Seems to have a dual compound green outside is gummier durometer vs the black rubber being more dense. Ball of foot seems isolated from any abrupt protrusions. Heel extends a bit behind so going down 90 degrees like stairs you will rub a bit.
In MN where I live you come across clay like Mud. With these it comes out of tread better than the big hiking boots but they have traction for days.
Could be ok for daily shoes but warning that they are not a tennis shoe. They really are a hiker. Definitely heavier than a running shoe but not bad for as solid as it feels on your foot.
These out of the box are surprisingly stiff. The heel cushioning is a bit unforgiving but fine for most day trips and hiking I will do. These will likely not see altitude beyond 8,000 feet so I think they will be just fine.
Outstanding value as per usual with STP. I took a gamble on them but knew Merrel wouldn’t disappoint.
