I have bunions and an injury to my foot from long ago that makes finding shoes that are comfortable a challenge. I was a little skeptical about these because I haven't had luck with Merrell in the past. I'm an avid hiker and these were great right out of the gate. After one full day of wear they ...

Reviewed by CanyonWren from Minneapolis on Saturday, June 10, 2017I couldn't add comments to my previous review, so I'm doing another review. I was able to stretch these shoes, and now I absolutely love them. The shoe strings are still a bit short when I tie them, but it beats being too long. Also, the color of the red accents looks orangey on my screen, but in person they are actually a deep red. Makes them much more versatile.

Reviewed by CanyonWren from Minneapolis on Tuesday, June 6, 2017I LOVE the arch support and how they look. The arch is not as high as Merrell Moab hikers I tried on, which is a good thing for me. However, they feel small overall - narrow and short. (My feet are medium width and have normal arches). I'm crushed I didn't order 1/2 size up when they were available. The reviews were mixed on sizing when I ordered, so I read Amazon reviews too. Since I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 sandal or dress shoe but 8 running shoe or hiker I thought I was safe ordering an 8. Big mistake. The laces are even pretty short when I tie them. (I ordered the café color- brown with red laces). I plan to wear them around the house a bit with thick socks to see if they stretch at all, since they are leather. I will add comments here if I'm successful.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kathy from Colorado on Monday, May 1, 2017The shoes are way too small and were not made with depth to make a person feel snug in hiking/walking shoes.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by MerrellFan from New Hampshire on Wednesday, March 8, 2017I LOVE Merrell shoes. Merrells never let me down for comfort, support and well built shoes. This one did. It just hurt when I put it on and it wasn't because of the size being incorrect. I am not sure why these shoes have this issue. It is unlike Merrell to produce something subpar. It is frustrating to pay to return these when they were such a poor quality product. I lost on this one.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Cindy nature girl from Indiana on Thursday, February 2, 2017I wear an 8 1/2 medium shoe. This shoe was short and felt narrow. I always account for stretching over time, realized these wouldn't. The tongue on the right shoe had extra material along the arch and cut into my foot. Really disappointed, have bought other Merrills never had a problem with the fit. One star because I did like the look of them. Believe it or not. called Sierra exchanged them for a 7 1/2 medium men's Merrill for the same price. Not the same shoe can't remember the name it was orange and didn't have as much leather which was ok.
Went for a short hike yesterday about 1 1/2 mile felt pretty good.
