This jacket was for my husband for Christmas, he loves both the liner and the shell. It is a great deal, but it took 3 phone calls to USPS and sierra trading post to finally get one here.

This was a purchase for my husband. He was looking for rain protection for when his work requires him to be outdoors. We live in so california so he is not exposed to extreme rain or cold and has worn the liner and fleece separately.

I purchased this for my husband, to replace a very expensive, well used parka. This is a perfect replacement, plus it has more options for different types of weather because of the zip out liner. We have not tried it yet in a down pour but expect it to fare well.

Still waiting on some more powder to fall before I make a full assesment, but was great for the first snow, and some mountain powder. Works great in high winds. Hope it will take well to some snowboarding and snow/winter camping.

I have high hopes for this jacket in the winter. I haven't been able to test it yet I just received it, tried it on and was warm walking around the house. I put a little bulky but that's what I expected and wanted, a good heavy winter coat. I tested the waterproofing and it was very good under the faucet. Definitly should be good for a cold winter.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
