Been wearing Merrell's for years and I got exactly what I expected. As with previous pairs, I bought them a 1/2 size larger.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by asiaijeo87 from Norwalk, CT on Friday, April 21, 2017I've bought these shoes multiple times now. I bought them for my husband and my father as well. They swear by these. The only reason why I continue buying these in multiples is because they both use these for work, and not for hiking. These are very comfortable. My father used to complain about his feet all the time but since he started wearing Merrell's shoes, the complaints stopped. Now, every quarter or so he asks when I will buy him another pair :) My guys' feet don't sweat in these, there's enough ventilation going on that they have no issues even if worn all day long in working conditions. I continue to come back to Sierra for all types of Merrell shoes and boots. Definitely my favorites!

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Hiking NPS from Missouri on Thursday, March 30, 2017Hiked about 50 miles in these shoes in the first week through National Parks in Utah and Arizona. They were very comfortable. However, by day 2, the material had ripped on one of the shoes. Otherwise a good shoe. Sometimes the quality on Sierra Trading Post is hit or miss though.
Reviewed by AK Rambler from Washington State on Tuesday, March 28, 2017The sole cushion is quite stiff/firm which is good if you are back-packing with these. If you are expecting softness, this shoe is not for you. But they are comfortable, and sized correctly. Perhaps a bit narrower if you have wide feet.
They are not water-proof, so if that is what you are looking for, not for you. These are for the need of ventilated shoes. But why would you need a low ankle waterproof shoe? Plus you can spray a waterproofing agent on them.
