Comfortable

These were comfortable right out of the box, I am a true size 7 and ordered a 7, they fit perfect and they were very comfortable trying them. They are roomy on the inside.. I don't have particularly narrow or wide feet but there's not much to them, boney feet you could say and I feel that if someone has narrow feet these would be too roomy. The fact that they are so cozy and comfy is why I really liked them and felt they really didn't need a break in period so I did about 7 miles hiking in them with a midnight sock on the very first day I got them. My overall feet in general had no aches or cramps but because of the 'roominess' my feet tended to slide so much forward on descending ground that the top of my toes would hit and sometime crunch up against them so my toes were sore. I also noticed, having high arches, it feels almost as if nothing is there for arch support, if you had flat feet or normal arches I think they are great, but I might need to add extra cushion there and perhaps that could be part of the only other thing I noticed wearing them without a break-in was the pain I had in my hips that I have never had in my life hiking and I'm most certain that's because the insole is not super cushiony... so breaking them in would have helped. I stood in several very cold creeks with my tripod and camera and they ever leaked water but it didn't take too long before I could feel the chill of the temperature through the shoe.
