Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Great comfortable boot.Reviewed by Josiah from Montana on Thursday, September 21, 2017Took these out on a 10 day trek through the bob marshall and they performed admirably. No blisters (besides between pinky toes. But I always get those.) and just felt great. Even with a heavy pack. Tread is excellent and never felt unstable anywhere including rock hopping. Waterproofing held up nicely as well. Definitely recommend.

Perfect fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by JRB from Florida on Monday, May 8, 2017I've had many pairs of Merrell's. These are some of the better models. Walk in them all day and get about six months out of them. I wear the treads out on the heel in that time. Perfect support for an ankle issue I have from an injury.
Built to lastVerified Buyer Reviewed by John from NYC on Monday, May 8, 2017Had a pair in gray that I wore for three years only while backpacking or camping; I wear these spring and fall, an Asolo in cold weather and the Salonam Ultra in warm weather. The soles were still wearable but the upper became too loose and they began to smell even after I soaked and rinsed them. Thought I'd upgrade with a slightly heavier gtx boot, so I got the Vasque Breeze 2. Wore them on two 4 day backpacking loops; I had to return them because the toe guards started to delaminate. I got a full refund (another website), and bought these. Saved about $50 in the deal. This boot performs. Good sole, upper, and lightweight support.

I really like these boots. Comfortable right out of the box. Fit was true to size. Quality of construction was great. will buy again.
Quality, Durability & Comfort FitVerified Buyer Reviewed by BMW from Columbus Ohio on Wednesday, April 26, 20171) Very true to size and fit. I'm a 9.5 size standard D wide size who often up-sizes to 10.0. I tried both sizes and the 9.5 was the best for eliminating heal slipping with good comfort in toe box for a medium to thin sock. 2) all leather uppers and 'Vibram rubber outsole look to offer better long-term durability. 3) Useful heal loop. Very easy entry and lace-up for a Mid-hiking boot over others I tried that were not as easy. 4) The only area I'm wondering about its long-term durability is the cloth lace-up loops. I've had no experience with this method and it just seems to me you'd need to be more careful on how much pull-tension you use when lacing them up. 5) Still, these were the most comfortable snug comfortable fit of the three other Mid-hiking boots I tried. They were a little more expensive. But the all leather uppers with 'Vibram' outersole and easy lace-up plus comfortable fit was the key selling points. Plus I've had other hiking boots and shoes that use 'mesh cloth' combined with leather to reduce weight and increase out of the box walking comfort but even with very mild on-path walking/hiking over a short time they started to develop tears near walking toe-box presser points. So these all leather uppers offer breath-ability with durability and the weight difference isn't noticeable to me.

Good bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ggforester from Virginia on Tuesday, April 18, 2017Found these boots at a great price, seemed to be a more substantial shoe than the Merrell Moab. Camped and hiked over Easter weekend, boots didn't let me down!
