My 6 year old recently joined the Cub Scouts. After checking a few stores, including the big box sporting good stores, I had a hard time finding him a decent pair of boots. I was happy to find these at a fraction of the original price! So far he's worn them on a 5 mile hike and he likes to wear t... Read More

Bought them for my 8 year old for hiking but as of yet I haven't bean able to get her to take them off.
She feels that they go great with dresses and shorts and would wear them to school if I'd let her.

These boots are awesome! They do run small so order up a size. Excellent quality at a great price!

Third pair of these for our 3 boys. These shoes wear like iron!! I've been able to pass down smaller sizes to the younger boys and they are still in great condition. They run true to size and are easy to get on.

Time will tell, but the second my 8-year-old put these on his feet, he said, "These are really comfortable". They are international sizing, and it's my sense they run a tad small. For the money, I'm sorry now that I didn't buy a second pair the next size up for when he grows out of his current size. I've owned other Merrell boots, and they are generally quite durable and well-made. I'm sure they'll hold up better than the Deer Stag boots I bought for him here at STP. Those looked like they'd survive a nuclear blast, but within eight months were wearing through in various spots, and BOTH soles separated from the mid-soles, rendering them quite useless. He usually out-grows his boots before he wears them out, but not in the case of the Deer Stags. I'm confident these Merrell's will hold up as well as his present Merrell Hiking Shoes which are doing quite well. Recommended.

  • “Hola podria indicarme si la talla 3 es un 35.5 o solo es 33”

    • I have trouble translating American shoe sizes into European/International, especially children. I would say, when in doubt, get the larger size. The boots fit a little small because the child may not be used to high boots that fit close to the leg. A larger size may feel more comfortable.

    • Yes, you can return this item. Closeouts: may be last year's model or color, yet always first hand quality.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
