Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by just trying to stay warm and dry from Seattle, WA on Saturday, March 3, 2012Would like more color options
- Cons: Color wasnt what I expect
- Pros: Warm and water proof
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Grew up shopping from Massachusetts on Thursday, March 1, 2012I was hoping this coat would be warmer and more stylish. It just wasn't what I needed.
It is a beautifully constructed piece of clothing though, and the waterproof feature is great.
- Cons: Narrow fit, Unflattering cut
- Pros: Well-made
Verified Buyer Reviewed by sue from northeast ohio on Wednesday, February 29, 2012After ordering and returning 3 coats from different sites, I found a keeper! The fit through the body is great! I am pair shaped and this coat is wide enough through the hips without being too big on top. The raglan sleeves help in this area. I wear size medium in clothes but always order large in coats to be able to fit sweaters underneath. Perfect amount of room! The coat is very warm and seems to completely block the wind! My only complaints are that the neck and hood are a tad snug for my liking, but they still fit and because they are not too roomy, they do a great job keeping the cold air out. Also, I washed and dryed it, but the portion of the lining that had fleece remained wet and heavy. It took quite a while to dry. Overall, I am very satisfied.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by KMR from Minneapolis MN on Friday, February 17, 2012This is a warm ooat that's not too heavy or bulky. It has 4 really nice pockets--two zip and the sizes are all nice. However, I bought this at half off the price; othewise i would not have been able to afford it.
- Best Uses: For around town
- Cons: Runs just a little big
- Pros: Classic not too trendy, Fits Well, Good Length, Great pockets 4 of them, Nice size hood not bulky, Warm
Verified Buyer Reviewed by bihagirl from Seattle on Tuesday, February 14, 2012Really nice coat, warm but not too bulky and easy to amp the warmth with some layers. I like the arm holes, they have some nice inner cuffs with a stretchy material that keeps the wind out. Pockets are well placed and large. There is an inner drawstring waist to slim it out so the shape is not so straight from the front, gives you a slightly fitted look. Hood stays on well but is not detachable so if you are going somewhere dressy you still look like you have a raincoat on from behind. Overall, very happy with the coat.
- Best Uses: Casual
- Cons: Hood not detachable
- Pros: Nice Material, Perfect length, Well Made

“Merrell lists their size medium as 8-10 but you have this Merrell Jacqueline Coat listed as a medium 10-12. Is this an error?”
The sizing for the Merrell Jacqueline Coat is correct.
“I can't decide on the size of this coat. Merrell's website lists a small as a 4-6, while STP lists it as a 6-8. I wear a size 6, but I need to have room to put a sweater on underneath. I would order both a small and a medium, but there is no free shipping right now, so I don't want to spend the extra money knowing that I will be making a return.”
I would recommend ordering a small, according to our customer reviews the coat runs true to size (Size 6-8). The coat on Merrel's website is most likely a newer model and sizing might have changed.
In my opinion its a medium shade maroon color.
