5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable!Verified Buyer Reviewed by DeniseS from WA State on Sunday, April 8, 2018Normally wear size 6, bought 6-1/2. Added cotton hiking socks and went on a two-mile walk up and down low hills. No slipping on a rain-covered wood boardwalk. No snow/ice to test at this time. Lightweight and comfortable.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Looks good but runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sandy the scribe from Illinois on Saturday, April 7, 2018The toe box is much narrower than other Merrell hiking shoes I've worn. Best to order a half or full size higher if your feet are a bit wide and you want to wear heavy socks. I'll wear these in warmer weather with lighter socks.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Pennsylvania on Sunday, March 18, 2018As other reviewers noted, this boot was comfortable right out of the box. I always hold onto boxes and packing since buying boots and shoes online can be tricky. In no time at all, I pitched the box as I knew these boots had found a home. I normally wear 7 1/2. I ordered these in size 8 and they fit great and allow for a thicker sock if I want.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Fit Out of BoxVerified Buyer Reviewed by 2BrownDogs from Texas on Monday, March 12, 2018These boots are the first pair of hiking boots that fit and feel great right out of the box. They are snug with thick socks and have great arch support. In addition to looking nice and requiring no break-in to be comfortable, they have nice lugs for traction on uneven surfaces. Being lightweight is an added bonus when the pounds matter in backpacking or traveling overseas with carry-on luggage only.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great ProductVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Brooklyn, NY on Friday, March 9, 2018Merrell knows what they’re doing when it comes to outdoor gear. These are super comfy waterproof hiking boots. No breaking in necessary, just strap them on and go. Vibram sole is sturdy stays put on slick surfaces, waterproofing works well for snow and rain. Color leaves a bit to be desired but the price was right. My only complaint is the shoe lace length and that there’s not enough lace anchors to really lock in your ankle.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect, right out of the box!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Georgia on Wednesday, March 7, 2018My first hiking boots and I love them. Bought for a trip later this year and I plan to wear them a lot before then as well. Definitely order 1/2 size up. I am a solid 8 1/2 normally and I got a 9 and they are perfect with thicker hiking socks. The toe box is nice and roomy and the ankle support is super comfortable. I love my Merrells!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Just what I was looking for!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Hiking Arizona from Arizona on Wednesday, February 28, 2018Comfortable and perfect for hiking the mountains around, though I wouldn’t advise wearing them when hiking a paved trail as a sneaker would be more comfortable for that. On the advice of other reviewers, I did order a half-size up and I’m glad I did. I wear 81/2 and bought 9 and can probably even be comfortable in 91/2 with a moderately heavy sock. If you are on the line (ex: 81/2, thinking maybe I am really a 9 now, because why are my feet growing at this age!) a full size up might be advisable.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy and SupportiveVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from IA on Wednesday, February 28, 2018These hiking shoes are great. they are comfy, breathable, and require little to no "breaking in." They provide quite a lot of support with the original insoles, though I might replace them for better ones. I haven't tested the "water proofing" yet, but I'm excited to take these cute and comfy shoes hiking on my honeymoon this summer!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love my new Merrell hiking boots.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Wisconsin on Monday, February 19, 2018I needed to replace my well worn mid Gortex hiking boots. After searching for several weeks, I found my Merrell boots. They fit perfectly and the Gortex lining keeps out our WI snow melt.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from PA on Tuesday, January 30, 2018I had tried the Merrell Moab Mid Hiking Boot on at a major store, but didn't want to pay the $130 retail price. I began searching online and found these for $79 and couldn't be more pleased. I wore them the very next day for a seven mile hike and they outperformed any boot I have previously owned. They are light, comfortable and a perfect fit for me. I tested the waterproof feature and was not disappointed! This is an all around great hiking boot.
