“Are these waterproof?”

  • These are not. There is a waterproof option in the same style though. You just have to make sure the description designates that.

  • No. They are very ventilated and good for hot weather. I think Merrel does make the same shoe in a waterproof version though.

  • This one is not but Merrell does make a Gore-Tex version which should essentially be waterproof.

  • You would need the ones that say WATERPROOF in the description...there are both available in the MOAB...waterproof and NONwaterproof...these are the latter!

  • Not even close. They're actually UNwaterproof. They're a lot like Keen's sandal/shoes in that the mesh portion is basically there to keep out skree/pebbles/sand, etc. Basically, if you step in water that's deeper than the sole, your foot will get wet. Consider, though, that in warm weather, your feet sweat. Waterproof footwear will trap that moisture. A good ventilated shoe, like the Merrell Moab Ventilator, will better allow your socks and feet to dry.

  • I didn't keep these because they were too small. I don't think they would keep water completely out. Wish I could help more.

  • Not waterproof - they are actually very breathable and well vented
