Comfy BootReviewed by Tonja from Minneapolis on Thursday, March 22, 2018I ordered these boots for my daughter to go on a hiking trip to Colorado. She normally wears an 8 shoe so we went with the 8.5 to make room for wool hiking socks. They fit perfectly and she had no issues with rubbing or blistering. They were comfortable the whole trip and the bit of purple added a nice ladylike touch.
Hiking ShoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Carol from Iowa on Thursday, July 20, 2017Just wore them for a few minutes, but they are very comfortable
We'll see over the long haul.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Suzi from Congress, AZ on Thursday, July 6, 2017I usually wear 8 - 8.5, so I ordered a 9 in these. They fit pretty well, feel a little big but I'll wear thick socks for hiking so I guess they're good.
Too much arch supportVerified Buyer Reviewed by Natalie from Missouri on Thursday, June 1, 2017These looked like good hiking boots, but for me they had too much arch support on the sides. I ended up liking the feel of a Vasque shoe better.
Great hiking boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Melanie from Ohio on Tuesday, May 30, 2017I got these for an upcoming trip to Yellowstone. Right out of the box they were great. I like that they are lightweight and provide good support. I also have these in the hiking shoe version and I couldn't be happier. I also got them for a great price here at STP.
Love these!Verified Buyer Reviewed by GBBall from Massachusetts on Monday, May 29, 2017I love these hikers! They have great traction, and are really comfortable!
My fifth pair of Merrell Moab VentilatorsVerified Buyer Reviewed by azhiker from Surprise Arizona on Saturday, May 27, 2017This has been my go to hiking boot for years. I have had several other boots, different brands and different styles, but this is the only one I buy now. It gives me enough ankle support, has good traction, and has decent foot support. I trust these boots. I have wide feet, and I can adjust the laces to fit my feet. I hope they never quit making this boot!
comfy and great fit!Verified Buyer Reviewed by me and the pup from hudson valley ny on Sunday, May 14, 2017True fit andcomfy.

Wow what an archVerified Buyer Reviewed by Karen from Florida on Friday, April 28, 2017Sadly, I had to return these boots due to the high arch. Painful even to try on!

“Are they waterproof? Assume not ”
Hello! These boots are awesome but they are NOT waterproof. They do not have GORE TEC which gives them the waterproof protection. Merrell does carry a waterproof version for about $20 more. Totally worth it. I recommend Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof. Siren has a waterproof version too. If the description does not say it. Then your assumption is correct- they are not and vice versa. Hope this helps!!
CR- Thank you very much for your detailed facts and recommendation. Was interested in these b/c of the name "Ventilator"...thought they might be a cooler choice for my feet during esp. hot days on a long hike. (For hikes I have Columbia boots & Asolo shoes..like both). Thanks, CR
They are water resistant, not proof. Meaning that if water were to splash up onto the shoes, your feet would stay dry. If you were to submerge the shoe, your feet would not stay dry! Hope this helps.
This item is not waterproof.
