These are very cosy and fit perfectly. Easy on and off, great for taking the dogs out. I have a slightly wide foot with a high instep and the fit is great.

  • “I wear an 8.5 should I size up?”
Asked by Crystal from Alaska on 3/22/2017 11:41:54 AM
    • I did. I wear an 8.5 and I got a 9. I can wear them barefoot and with my heaviest socks, no problem.
Answered on 3/22/2017 11:52:22 AM by Danielle P. from New York
    • As the shoe is insulated I would size up.

    • No. I have a high instep and slightly wide foot and they got perfectly in my usual size.

    • Not necessarily. I sized up to accommodate heavy socks and and arch support, but otherwise your regular size should be ok.

    • Yes by 1/2. I have a pair of 9's and a 9.5 and the 9.5 is just more comfortable especially for me because my toes splay out and I have flat feet. So I recommend it.

    • No need to size up they run true to size....Very comfortable with good support.

    • I have two other older pairs of these in a 7. I ordered the 7.5 and they fit just like the 7's. So probably?

    • I wear an 8 in sandals, 8.5 in closed shoes and a 9 in running shoes. I have this style in an 8 and 8.5. For me, the 8 fits best. Once the fur lining is tamped down, they fit perfectly. The 8.5 were too big. I kept, but must wear heavy socks with them. If I were you, I'd stick with 8.5.

    • I did not size-up. And they fit well.

    • Hi,
I wear a size 10 and found one of the reasons I LOVE this shoe is that it's a most comfortable fit. Some size 10's I find just a bit too snug in the toe area but this particular style is generous and I can wear my exact shoe size. I can also wear a thicker sock on colder days and still wriggle my toes! Lol Personally, I wouldn't size up if they have your 8.5 in stock. In my opinion sizing up may be too large. This is a "mule", clog, slide on shoe. If you go too large for your foot it won't hold the foot securely.
I hope this helped you out. I hope you love this shoe as much as I do.

    • Just a PS....if you're not sure about the size have you considered ordering both and trying it on at home? The only reason I mention this is because Sierra Trading Post has an easy return policy. I had to return another pair that didn't fit and they included a return label. It was easy as dropping it off at UPS. There was a small return shipping fee but their customer service is the best.
The only reason I'm mentioning this option to you is because before finding this shoe at Sierra I paid full price , over double what they are here, from the manufacturer. It may cost you a small fee to return the pair but you'll know you got the right fit for a shoe you'll enjoy for years.

    • I wear a 9.5 and bought a 9.5 . They fit perfect, even with heavier socks!! I have never been happier with a pair of shoes I ordered online!!

    • Merrell seems to always fit me true to size. These are no different. That said, it depends on what kind of socks you'll wear with them, if you'll wear socks at all. Good luck!

    • According to our fit team this item is running true to size.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
