Love!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mountain Girl from Montana on Thursday, January 18, 2018Very comfortable. Very warm. Great looking. Great fit, I usually wear 8.5 and they were true to size. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent Quality Boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Christina from Lake Placid NY on Wednesday, January 10, 2018Excellent quality! So happy I took a chance. The only size left was my size, however a bit tight. Wish I had read reviews that these ran small.
They sneezed right at first, but I have been wearing them and I'm super happy. Same great quality as my backcountry ski boots.
The tread is fabulous. I wish I could find another pair to buy.
Cuter in picsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Maritime from North Carolina on Tuesday, January 9, 2018I’m person these boots were bulky but super tight in the toe box. I loved the look so much, but they really were not nearly as cute in person. They made my feet look like a giant.
LOVE. LOVEVerified Buyer Reviewed by Trekker Terri from Wisconsin on Tuesday, January 2, 2018I absolutely love these boots. The best of both worlds, they are super cute and also warm. Living in Northern Wisconsin I wanted something functional but also attractive. These are both, I did order a full size larger as suggested by other reviewers, a half size would have been sufficient, but I tightened the laces and they are fine. I would love to buy again but I can't find them.
I wear them dailyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Spazzzmo from Northern California on Wednesday, December 27, 2017I bought these boots because I will be spending a week in New York in January, and I needed something warm, waterproof, somewhat stylish, with good tread. It turns out the Bay Area has been experiencing quite a cold snap, so I put these on and have worn them daily for 2 weeks! I normally wear about 8.5 or 9, so I bought these in 9. At first the toe part of the boot felt a little tight, but after a full day of wear with medium hiking socks, my long crazy monkey toes have nestled quite nicely and they don't feel as constricted as I thought they would at the end of the day. In fact, they're super comfy! I have narrow feet and bunions, and these have accommodated all of that nonsense. I've worn these with jeans, but mostly leggings and skirts. These boots complete me.
Love these!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Trail walker from Massachusetts on Sunday, December 24, 2017These boots are super light and yet really warm. I love the look and the blue laces. They are also very comfortable, though I did need to buy a half size larger than normal. I have received a ton of compliments on them so far and would definitely buy them again!
Warm, warm boots!Reviewed by Beth the frozen from Northwest PA on Thursday, December 14, 2017I bought these boots on sale from Merrell last year...had never paid that much for boots, but my feet were always cold. These are my favorite winter boots! They keep my feet very warm (a miracle) and were comfortable right away. I did order a full size up and am glad that I did. I love, too, that I can keep them tied and only use the zipper. When I bought them from Merrell, they came with an extra pair of gray laces. If you suffer from cold feet, try these boots! Also, I live in Northwest PA, and they have kept my feet dry in snow!
Love These But They Run a Bit SmallReviewed by Xander from New Hampshire on Tuesday, December 12, 2017I would love to give these 5 Stars! The quality is seriously top notch. These boots are nice for sure. I was in snow today and I'm very impressed with the bottom traction, the height, and the warmth.
That being said...... I ordered an 8 because I wear a 7.5 shoe and an 8 for boots.
Previous reviews stated that they ran a bit small and I should have heeded the advice and sized up.
Enter youtube and a hack on how to break in a slightly small pair of boots. #1) Put on two pairs of heavy socks #2) Blow dry the area that's tight then walk around in them till they cool completely. Done. Now they're perfect. I do believe an 8.5 may have been slightly too big. In any event the boots are just right now and I'm very happy with the look of them as well.
boots are great, concerns about companyVerified Buyer Reviewed by SBP from Detroit on Tuesday, December 12, 2017Boots fit great, seem warm, haven't yet had the opportunity to see if they are water proof. Unfortunately, a few days after removing from packaging and wearing out and about, I saw a headline that the parent company of Merrell, Wolverine is being sued in a class action law suit for contaminating water sources in western Michigan. Very saddened to hear about this disregard for residents of the region, will not be buying from this company again.
Cute but not functional as a snow bootReviewed by Christina from WA on Saturday, December 9, 2017If I lived somewhere that it didn’t snow a foot or more at a time, I would have kept these. I returned my first pair because they were too small. I ordered the size I always order for Merrell shoes and they were about a size too small. I didn’t notice that the tongue of the boot only went to the ankle. Without a lot of overlap between the boot and the tongue, I could only image my feet constantly wet from snow entering the boot. The second pair fit better, and they boots are really great looking, but at further inspection I noticed the tongue issue, So if you want a nice looking boot to keep your feet warm and don’t need to worry about snow, these would be great.

“I normally wear a 9 , should I get a 9.5. or a 10 , in these ? It appears they may run small . only 1 review to judge . ”
I want a 9.5 tennis shoe and generally 10 in boots. I say the sizing is consistent with that. The 10 is almost small, but not too snug. It probably depends on what you want to wear with them. I have been wearing thinning (costco) wool socks and skinny jeans or leggings and the fit is perfect.
