High quality shirtVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nick from Arkansas on Thursday, April 19, 2018This is a fantastic shirt for the spring and summer months. It is very very light, but durable.
Wellegant!Reviewed by AndySNJ from Morris County, NJ on Wednesday, March 28, 2018This shirt is very finely crafted, so when I logged in to post my review I was shocked to see a 1-star review. For true, apples-to-apples comparison between reviews, I'll provide my stats: I am just shy of 6 feet tall and weigh 160 pounds. Being in my mid-50's, Mother Nature has decided that my "Slim Fit" days are over, and just to make her point, put an odd bulge where my abs used to be. Hence, I ordered this "standard fit" shirt.
It is made of a very fine gage, crisp cotton broadcloth. The designer debulked the collar so that it is built with only two layers of same weight fabric (one printed, one white.) The height of the collar is lowered and the overall construction makes it softer. Good features to build into a casual summer shirt.
I typically wear 15-1/2 x 33 dress shirts. This shirt fits almost perfectly. The sleeves were long enough without looking sloppy. The tails are cut shorter. I am sure this was done so that you could wear the shirt untucked while still looking neat. Unlike the other reviewer, I am not in the habit of waving my arms about, so fears of exposing my fuzzy navel are minimal.
I washed mine in cool water on a normal cycle and tumbled dry on low, without fabric softener. It will require some ironing, but nothing extreme.
All in all, I think this is a great garment for the coming hot times, summer in the city. I will pair it with dark jeans or possibly black chinos. If I was going for the "yacht club" look, I'd wear it with white denim or chino shorts and boat shoes or canvas sneakers. But, at my age, I think that ship has sailed.
Odd Cut & FitReviewed by Ronald E from Tehachapi on Sunday, March 18, 2018This is the skinny jeans of shirts. and I think the model must be Ickabod Crane and 6'0' at 150 lbs. Way too short and you can't raise your arms without flashing your stomach. I'm 6'1", 200 lbs, I went with the XL mostly to get longer sleeves. Well the sleeves were OK the rest was not. If you raised your arms more than what is pictured the entire shirt raises, bunches up at the neck and shoulders and shows off my belly pretty good - your not waving to anyone. The materials is very, very thin, think single ply toilet paper thin, I'm sure it wouldn't last and surprised it didn't rip when I tried it on. Returned and don't care for the return policy that charges me for such a poorly fitted and advertised item.
