Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jamie from Pittsburgh,Pa on Thursday, March 5, 2015The Mizuno Wave is the lightest shoe I've ever worn. Usually this means no support,,,,but not the case with the Wave. Lots of toe box room. I rotate between this shoe and Asics Gel, and On the Cloud and I have no pain what so ever.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by tommyboyks from Kansas on Thursday, December 25, 2014I am one of those guys who buys a different running shoe every three or four months. I generally alternate several pairs. This shoe is very light weight. I thought it would be a bit more padded. It is good for short distances up to 10 miles. I would prefer a bit more padding for longer runs.
P.S. The 25% off my next order for completing this survey is a bit misleading. You ahve sales that offer anywhere from 30 to 80% off. You can never use the 25% off in addition to the the other sales. So unless you buy a full price item, the 25% off your order of $75 is useless.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Tbuck from Michigan on Wednesday, November 12, 2014I really like the feel of this trainer. The toe box is roomy for my feet which seem to swell on any run over 5 miles. I did find that I did get small blisters from rubbing on the top of my feet. I think the stitching is causing it. I will try thicker socks on my next run in them
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sarah D from Alaska on Friday, September 5, 2014My son loves these shoes and recommends them. They are true to size and very comfortable.
Reviewed by Ohio Runner from Ohio on Saturday, July 19, 2014I'm mostly a 15-25 mile/wk runner with flat arches. For the past 10 or more years I've used mainly stability and motion-control shoes. Asics Kayano and GT-2000s have been my go-to shoes. I wanted to try zero-drop semi-minimalist shoes and after reading a bunch of reviews the Wave Evo Cursoris stood out as a good choice. I was happy to find them on Sierra Trading Post at 1/2 to 2/3rds of what other people were selling them for. The shipping and turnaround was quick. I was planning to rotate them in to allow my feet and legs to get used to a completely different style than they were used to, but my first test run, a 3-miler, was so smooth and effortless I now reach for these shoes for all of my runs. After a 6 miler my feet were fatigued in ways I never felt before, and my lower calves were very sore. But I was expecting something like that because you can't get lazy with your running form and start heel-slamming; something I have a tendency to do. I have run a few times in my Kayanos since buying these shoes and the feeling is very different and definitely not as enjoyable as with the Cursoris. These are incredibly comfortable shoes and feel even better when you start running. After two months the soles are showing a little wear but the uppers still look like new. So longevity is still an open question. But at this price I'm not too worried about it and have ordered a second pair.
