Verified Buyer Reviewed by HokieTrax from Virginia on Sunday, May 22, 2016I wanted these to fit but they pressed on my toe as another reviewer mentioned and the asymmetrical styling didn't give them a comfortable, secure fit that you might expect on similar styled shoes. The leather is beautiful and they seem well-made. If it was available, I would have needed a size up. Had to return.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Adventurer from Washington state on Monday, March 28, 2016Although the soles feel a bit slick, they've done ok on various surfaces. They were a tad more slick on carpet and a bit more on tile, but not enough to cause a fall. I do exercise a bit more caution on carpeted steps.
The overall shoe fit well- true to size- but it would be nice if they provided a bit more room OVER the toes- especially the big toe. The space is a bit narrow, top to bottom, and the top of the shoe feels like it pushes down on the big toenail a bit- which can be a bit annoying- especially when relaxing. Less noticeable when walking. I took some of the paper that was stuffed in the shoe, re-formed it, and started cramming it in the big toe area to try to stretch it out a tad. I think it has helped a little.
There is a bit of "cushioning" at the top of the heel, but I'm not all that impressed with it. Otherwise, it's a nice-fitting and good-looking shoe!
