4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable soft shell pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jake from Honolulu, HI on Wednesday, February 1, 2012Glad I bought these. Got them to use as an alternative for my Marmot Scree's. Great casual pants in moderate weather. I wear a baselayer under them if the weather gets colder. These pants have good stretch and are comfortable. Based on other reviews I bought a size larger than normal, so the XL fits well.
- Best Uses: Casual, Hiking
- Cons: Runs Small
- Pros: Comfortable, Looks good, Stretchy

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good Climbing PantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by cka from Clovis, CA on Tuesday, January 17, 2012I bought these for climbing, and they work very well. I'm just not sure how well they'll hold up to contact with our sierra granite. Time will tell...
- Best Uses: Climbing hiking
- Pros: Built in belt, Good Fit, Light Weight, Stretchy fabric

3.0 out of 5 stars. Way too thinVerified Buyer Reviewed by Buffscott from Storrs, CT on Wednesday, January 4, 2012Pants seem to be made of nice material, but the legs are just way too thin/tight, they're practically tights. Returned.
- Cons: Thin legs

5.0 out of 5 stars. very nice for hikingVerified Buyer Reviewed by woodsrider300 from Winchester KY on Tuesday, December 27, 2011I have used these pants to hike in only. Great for cooler weather. Plenty of pockets. I bought a large and had to exchange for X-large because waist runs small.I am 5 ft 9 in and about 170 lbs. have a 30 in inseam. The X-large short fit with room to spare.
- Cons: Size runs small
- Pros: Light weight strechy

3.0 out of 5 stars. Good for light activityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Alex from Maine on Monday, November 21, 2011Decent pants if you are looking for something light and water resistant. Cool built in belt. My pair functioned fine for a day, then the lower pant leg got several tears from walking through brush on a trail. Good as long as abrasion resistance is not a requirement.
- Best Uses: Jogging, Snow activity
- Cons: Not durable, Runs Small
- Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Nice pockets, Water Resistant

5.0 out of 5 stars. Incredible pantsReviewed by GeoffM24 from Springfield, Ma on Sunday, September 25, 2011These pants are very high quality and fit wonderfully. They are a slimmer cut, not skinny jeans tight but well shaped. I have pretty strong legs and I still find that these have plenty of room even though they are not baggy. STP sizing is spot on with these.
- Best Uses: Everyday use, Hiking, Hunting
- Cons: Limited color choices
- Pros: Good Quality, Light Weight, Nice features, Very water resistant

3.0 out of 5 stars. Run WAY smallReviewed by Snipefarmer from New Hampshire on Tuesday, September 20, 2011I usually wear 35 waist pants. I ordered XL (36-38) but there's no way the waist is bigger than 34". Too bad - they looked nice otherwise. Oddly, the zipper pull had a Union Jack - strange for pants with a French name made in China!
- Pros: Nice Fabric, Well Made

- Pros: well made pants

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice Light SoftshellVerified Buyer Reviewed by easyup from AZ, WY, WA on Wednesday, September 7, 2011My other softshell are too warm for summer and some fall and spring fishing and hunting, these are perfect. Not seen heavy rain as of yet but I think they will be OK. Seem tough but time will tell. Stretch is outstanding.
- Best Uses: Fall or spring hiking, Hunting
- Pros: Lightweight, Resistant to rain, Stretch is great, Well constructed

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great softshellsVerified Buyer Reviewed by ParliamentF from Dallas, TX on Tuesday, August 16, 2011Nice pants, fabric is heavier weight than Northface Paramount series pants, but not too thick to overheat while moving. All pockets are mesh inside & double as vents. Close fit, but stretch really allows for movement. Adjustable zips on legs are nice for going under gaiters, but can open up to fit over hikers/trail runners. Smaller UK sizing, but Sierra's recommendations are right on. Black color is more of a dark charcoal grey, not dead black.
- Cons: UK sizing runs small
- Pros: Breathes, Quality construction, Stretchy
