These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn on the trail. I broke them in then took them on a 25 mile overnight trip to Havasu Falls. Solid construction. More durable sole than the problematic soles on the Cascadia, but too narrow in the toe box for me. I ended up swapping the thick Montrail insoles with the thin insoles from my Cascadia, and skipping the lowermost pair of holes when lacing. This was a huge improvement, but not ideal.

I love Montrail shoes, and these didn't disappoint. I just didn't care for the color, but they fit my low volume foot perfectly. Great support too. I returned them due to not liking the color so much.

Once you get past the neon colors (couldn't pass up the price) these are solid trail running shoes. Good comfort for the long trail runs and great grip. I also use these for obstacle course racing and they hold up super with the water and mud abuse. 2nd pair of Montrails and very pleased.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn on the trail. I broke them in then took them on a 25 mile overnight trip to Havasu Falls. Even with a 20lb pack on, blazing Arizona heat, and an uphill hike on an old riverbed of gravel, these shoes held up fantastically. I had no foot cramps, no excess sweating, and most importantly? No blisters! The fluidfoam sole is great and adjusts as you hike, cradling your foot very well.

These are the best shoes for hiking and trailrunning in CA, CO, or AZ as the lugs and design are perfectly adjusted for these environments.
