Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jimbo from Truckee, CA on Thursday, September 1, 2016I've been out in these shoes about a dozen times, on all kinds of trails, and so far they've been great. Comfy, very light, good grip, moderate cush & stability, good protection underfoot. They can be a bit unstable on very rocky, rooty terrain, but a snug-up on the front laces helps that. And the bright blue color makes them buku fast!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by TN Trail Runner from South Cumberland Plateau, TN on Thursday, August 11, 2016Bought the Montrail FludiFlex ST Trail Running Shoes as replacements for my Brooks Cascadia 8s (approx 1000 miles on the Cascadias). I'm writing this review after only about 20 miles on the Montrails. I took them out on a technical trail run over rocks and roots and on a muddier run over rolling terrain. The STs performed as well or better than the Cascadias. With only a front rock plate on the STs, I was worried that I'd miss the full rock plate of the Cascadias. Fortunately, I didn't notice the difference. I'm more of a forefoot striker, so I probably don't land on the back half of my foot much anyways. I also liked the grip on the tread. These Montrails gripped on wet/humid flat faced rocks as well or better than any trail runners I've ever owned. I particularly like the low weight of these shoes as I barely even notice I'm wearing them. I've now found my new favorite trail runners and I couldn't be more pleased! I look forward to checking out more Montrails in the future.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ward Homes LLC from Seattle on Thursday, August 11, 2016Good quality and comfy, will outlast any other shoe, good grip and breathe great for summer, not a winter shoe, you will get wet. 3rd pair of Montrail trail shoes... I buy them for my teenagers too as they can't wear them out like other sneakers. Got 4 years out of my old ones.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Tonkakayak from Minnesota on Wednesday, August 3, 2016I developed Plantars Fasciitis wearing a pair of Chaco shoes at a half dozen trade shows standing on cement all day. I needed something with more cushion.....that was breathable for hot days and something I could hike with. These totally fit the bill. I wear 10.5 mens, but ordered 11 and they fit great.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by petpal from TX on Monday, June 20, 2016Great Fit, Always easy break in. I only wear Montrails when on the trails. And, STP gives that good price for Montrails.
