Verified Buyer Reviewed by Poodlegal from Cali on Tuesday, December 27, 2016I ended up loving the Montrail Caldorados-perfect for my low volume foot with narrow heel and my custom orthotics. The are awesome cushier shoes but with too much width in all respects for my foot.Worked fine with my custom orthotics, just too wide.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Trail hiker from Minnesota on Wednesday, September 21, 2016I needed to replace my Patagonia trail runners I bought on Sierra Traders. These were a good choice. My biggest complaint is that the laces are short. Will need to get longer ones. I bought a 1/2 size up to accommodate my orthotic inserts and to give me room in the toe, especially for downhill hiking. They seem to be working well. This is a sturdy shoe with good traction.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by MO Mule from MO on Tuesday, September 13, 2016Fit is true, no need to up or down a size. Fits like a glove! No break in required. I would highly recommend and buy again!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by anita from Washington on Monday, July 25, 2016These are some of the most comfortable walking (I don't run) shoes I've ever owned. Montrail has one of the roomiest toe boxes of all the manufacturers, and this one has good foot support, fit, and cushioning as well. They're less flexible than most running shoes, which is exactly what I was looking for. I have terrible feet (bunions, hammer toes, no arches, pronation) and was able to walk comfortably for hours. If they were available at this price with some colors besides yellow and cantaloupe (which I hate), I'd buy a second pair.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Katydid from Pennsylvania on Friday, June 17, 2016I had been looking at all the hiking/trail running shoes and nothing was working for me. Then, you got these in. My previous pair were Montrail brand (almost identical) and my feet loved them. I have only worn these for a few hours indoors, but so far they feel right. I gave a 4 star rating because the bottom, especially by my toes, is much thinner and less supportive than the older pair of Montrail shoes that I own. I noticed the weight of these new ones is 4 ounces less. They must have made their shoes lighter and I would prefer more support. I will most likely be adding an orthodic insert.
