Great knife for little money

If you know knives like I do you know that carbon steel is the way to go for a hiking/camping knife. I'm not inviting argument from stainless afficionados. Just stating that carbon will take a beating and then take a good edge again after sharpening. It does require extra attention to keep it clean ... Read More
Morakniv Clipper 840 Fixed-Blade knifeVerified Buyer Reviewed by redeyehawk from New Hampshire on Wednesday, March 9, 2016Super knife, very sharp and easy to resharpen. These knives are a steal, so many uses. The blade does get a mottled look after use, as it is not stainless, but rather carbon steel. We use them in the kitchen mostly, so much better than the typical steak knife. Poly sheath is a nice safe way to store it, the knife locks in place.
A good knifeVerified Buyer Reviewed by teddy from Florida on Wednesday, January 13, 2016It will take an edge easily. Like any good tool some care is required.
Great for a 12 YOReviewed by rdmallory from FL on Tuesday, December 22, 2015These are carbon steel. Very sharp and keep an edge. But they will rust if ran through a dish washer or put away wet.

Rusty Knife!Reviewed by Nam from Dallas on Thursday, May 14, 2015This knife rusts like crazy. I barely used it the first time to cut like a piece of paper. I cleaned it off and the tip got a little wet. The next day rust spots formed where the water was and you can't just wipe if off. It has sort of eaten into the knife and now you can't really get it off other than to grind it off.
Great knife!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Breakheart from Boson on Thursday, May 14, 2015I have a few Mora knives and they are a very good value. The handle is very comfortable and the blade is very sharp. This model has a narrower blade than some other models but should work well for me.
It's a MoraVerified Buyer Reviewed by TripleDogSnowbird from California on Thursday, April 16, 2015Swedish quality for the price of a cheap Chinese knife. The Scandinavian grind is my favorite grind also, which this knife has. Buy it, for ~$10 you won't regret it.
mora clipperVerified Buyer Reviewed by nchiker from North Carolina on Saturday, March 28, 2015This Mora Clipper is outstanding. It came razor sharp and weighs only ounces. Throw one in your day pack or multiday backpack. Best of all you can't the beat the price for a knife that carves wood and makes wood shavings for fire starting.

“Is the knife full tang?”
Not a full tang, as described on a survival website I searched out. Non-the-less, the blade certainly feels very secure in the handle.
No, it has a rat tail tang that goes about 2/3 of the way into the overmolded grip. This is a good knife, the tang configuration is not a deal breaker, especially for the price.
