I bought one of these knives this past summer, and have since bought four more knives from STP, including one more of these, a Companion (non heavy-duty), and two HighQ Robust models. The friction-fit sheath holds the knife well in regular usage, I carry the knife with me when I hike around looking for mushrooms, and took it with me on a multi-day hiking and camping excursion through the Nicolet-Chequamegon forest in Northern Wisconsin. The steel has held up very well for me, shaving fatwood for fire making and using to baton wood no more than 2" thick. The edge retention seems to be good, I haven't sharpened it outside of the factory grind, which is very sharp right out of the box, and I haven't noticed any dulling. I'm not a bushcrafter or anything, just some guy who enjoys hiking and camping and having a reliable, sharp knife at my side. The only thing I have noticed is that there are some stress marks where the belt clip meets the sheath from the plastic flexing a little, however it hasn't changed the friction fit and the knife never seems to be at risk of falling out. I am considering purchasing more of these knives for no reason other than I want to have a handful of them if they ever go out of production. I've never seen a better value in a knife in my life. 5 stars all the way!
