My husband wanted me to settle with a borrowed 20 degree bag but I decided to buy this one instead. Best decision ever! Couldn't wait to climb into this snuggly bag at the end of each day. Temps ranged from 50s-teens (Fahrenheit) from the Rongai gate to Kibo Hut in July 2018 and there was no heat provided other than the body heat I made for myself. After wriggling out of my extra layers and down to base Under Armour inside my tent, I zipped up and slept well. I'm 5' 6-1/2" and 230#, probably could've gone for the longer bag but wasn't disappointed with the performance of this one. There were no cold spots and my feet had plenty of room. There were a few times I felt slightly overheated but a quick unzip, flap, and rezip took care of that! I'd rather be overheated than underheated. Knew it was working well the morning I awoke to find a thin rime of ice from my respiration on the exterior of the bag but I was still nice and toasty within.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
