Just right for fall and early winter days in the great northwest. She can layer and stay warm, has a hood to keep all the liquid sunshine off of her and true to fit. White and purple is a good combination, was a little worried but she loves it. She is a little concerned about keeping the white white, time will tell
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Doc Mom from Reedsport OR on Tuesday, November 27, 2012Great rain jacket for the Pacific Northwest. Comfy. Fold-away hood seemed too big, but is nicely adjustable. Nice features with iPod pocket, zip vents, multiple cords. Looks good and fits well.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by sailing in rain from westchester, ny on Thursday, May 31, 2012Bought this for hiking and sailing in wet weather. The material is very soft and lightweight. Water rolls right off it and it keeps me warm in chilly weather. The Small size fits well for a 5'4", 120lbs frame with room underneath for layering a fleece and a sweater. The bottom of the jacket may be snug on someone with wider hips. The pockets, vents, two way zipper and adjustments feel well constructed. Hood fits nicely and the cut is a fitted so you have room to move but don't look like you are wearing a potato sack. One thing is that the white fabric was already a little yellow/gray right out of the box and I can imagine it getting dirty very quickly.

“Would this parka be good for a light summer jacket? What is the lining like. Is it just a shell. I usually wear a large. Do you think this would be big enough to put a sweatshirt under. Thanks for your attention on this, Lynn”
The Mountain Hardwear Aludra Parka is just a shell and would be a great spring/summer protection layer against damper weather
