Got this for my husband for our ice climbing trip. The weather was warm and it was actually raining the first day. It didn't leak one drop of water even we were climbing a melting waterfall in the rain. He's 5'10" 160lb with broad shoulders and usually wear M (such as MH's dragon soft shell). But L of this jacket fits better for layering. It's a little bulky with its mesh lining due to the 2L material. I would prefer the thin fleece lining like the women's version for extra warmth, but with the price we can't complain too much. The hood fit over climbing helmet well (whereas women's version won't fit over my climbing helmet for some reason.) Overall a nice breathable rain jacket.
