This jacket is perfect for cold ski lift rides and heavy powder days. The insulation is perfect for cold days and isn’t bulky

  • “I don't see the insulation or permeability rating for this coat. Anyone know what these ratings are?

    • Not sure. I just wore this ski jacket at kirkwood Monday - Tuesday the insulation kept me too warm even with the vents open and thin tank underneath. It will be great for weather cooler than 32 degrees. Also I stayed nice and dry in the rain and snow

    • I’m not sure. It seemed lightly insulated but still warm. I returned it because it was tight on my hips. I think it would be great for skiing, not too warm but maybe not great for just sitting out in really cold weather .

    • The only information that Mountain Hardwear has provided for this is:
Fabric Body: Dry Q® 75D 2L Printed Dobby
      Insulation: Thermal.Q™ 100 g/m²

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
