Stretching material make them super comfortable, the waistband area is wide and will not cut into the skin, even when carrying a backpack with belt.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. 4 star!

The fit is a bit weird. The sz 10 fit in the waist but have to take in the sides at the hip in at least 1"ea. Am keeping them as I am able to sew. I usually wear a size 6 pant but that size sold out when I went to order and the 10 was the only one available. Thought I'd try them as I needed a pair of water repellent hiking pants. Haven't been hiking in them yet though. I am 5'8" and 136 lbs. Slim through the rear end and legs.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Stretchy and Comfy

These pants have enough stretch for outdoor activities, fit well, have good pockets, and are a comfortable yet quick drying material. I got them in a 10 and I wear either a 10 or 12 usually in pants. The 10 fit fine. So far so good. I just got them, so I don't know whether they will stand the test of time. That's why they only got 4 stars from me. I tend to use stuff hard and don't give 5 until my stuff has been through the ringer and still stood up.

A little tighter than expected, but perfect weight for hiking and layering as necessary.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
