I really wanted to like this jacket. I ordered a small and medium. The small fit well except for the soulders/chest area, causing it to be too tight and ride up on my arm pit. The medium fit well on the chest and shoulders, but was way too boxy in the mid section, and the arms are long. I am 5'-8", 160 lbs with wide shoulders and a big chest, but I can fit in a 38-40 suit top, for reference.

I was also disappointed with the Dry.Q elite fabric, which is supposedly like a softshell in texture. It is more like your goretex arcteryx jacket, very crackley and stiff. I am giving this 3 stars, as I have not used it outside (obviously), but the membrane does have some impressive specs, even though Mountain Hardwear refuses to give a breathability rating, despite what is reported on STP. I am going to return the jacket(s).

Received this jacket two days ago and the sleeves are many inches too long. The rest of the jacket seems to be perfect. If you're built like a gorilla, this is the one you want.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
