Pretty close to perfect

Knowing to buy a size larger if they are cotton with so many brands, I bought a size 38 waist for my 36. Just right. (if they are nylon stretch hiking pants like Columbia/Marmot/MountainHardware I've found the waist is usually true to size). What I have recently discovered is the gusseted crotch in some hiking/daily use jeans and pants. I have a cyclists' lower body and need loose-fit pants. The gusseted crotch means a larger area of material in the upper thighs. Diving in Montana often means a long time at the wheel, and not having the jean-squeeze is now something I know can be eliminated by wearing this style of pant. They look and wear great, have an edge of style. What is unnecessary and annoying and why it deserves a star deduction is the rear pocket placement is silly-low so your wallet slaps the back of your thigh.
