Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by PK from New England on Saturday, February 10, 2018I have used these 4 or 5 times as a base layer for alpine skiing, and I love them. Very comfy, warm, and stretchy. I use these with Gore-Tex shell ski pants. I'm 6'1", 175lbs, and size Large fits perfect. I have just enough room to put an additional thin layer under them if it's really cold. I would buy another pair, but size Large is sold out.
Reviewed by John from Ohio on Sunday, February 4, 2018I'm a 40 waist, and I tried the XL...then back for the XXL. The XL fit great at the waist, true to size. However, both the XL and XXL earned a quick return due to the cut at the calf of the pants. The whole leg is stretchy...except for the calf. I don't have "big" calfs or anything, but I won't be putting on any skinny jeans. The calf was just too tight and uncomfortable with no give. Poor cut and material choice there, at least for me. Seemed like they would have been comfortable and warm otherwise.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by johnajda from San Mateo, CA on Friday, January 26, 2018I really like the design (and color) of these green base layer pants; they also have a generously deep front thigh-level pocket (with a zipper closure), as well. I have recently worn these pants as a base layer underneath regular pants (typically, loose-fitting golf pants) when I do evening hikes in cold weather and they work great. My only negative comment is that they are a little too snug for me around the waist (my waist size is extra large). Otherwise, I am very happy with these base layer pants and do not regret buying them. They will probably fit me perfectly around the waist in a few months, as I actively working on losing weight this year.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Peter aka Trail Beast from N. California on Tuesday, January 9, 2018Weird that these don't have a drawstring waist. Nonetheless, for climbing they're great as your harness acts as a belt just in case. Could also be worn in a layering system for very cold temps with excellent results. Top quality, as always, from Mountain Hardware.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Baseballlvr3 from Central Illinois on Monday, January 1, 2018Insulated pants, I love these are use them as under garment where, under my jeans during the winter and they are so warm and they have pockets
