Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Loved how warm it was for the weightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jillienmarie from Hudson, WI on Wednesday, June 14, 2017I recently bought this for a backpacking/canoeing trip to the Boundary Waters. I was skeptical about how lightweight it was and if it would be warm enough. It completely exceeded by expectations. I bought a medium, I'm 5'9" and 155 pounds. The only thing that would have made it better, is if it was slightly longer in the torso. The sleeves were adequate length.
Doesn't fit my wifeReviewed by Busted Yuppie from Pacific Northwest on Tuesday, April 4, 2017This jacket, like a lot of outdoor clothing from major outdoor manufacturers, is designed for skinny, tall women. (How's that for "man-splaining" it? It doesn't fit my 66 year old bride's figure, but I love her to death in spite that this jacket doesn't fit. The men's version DOES fit my 'Cajun food and beer fueled "sleek" male body, but that's where the similarity ends.
Much nicer than it seems at firstVerified Buyer Reviewed by drumlinds from Frisco, CO on Tuesday, February 28, 2017I'll admit that I bought this on a whim, largely expecting to send it back because of the price for just a fleece jacket. But once I tried it on I changed my mind. It's thin, soft, and comfortable, and surprisingly warm for the thinness. I wore it on a 3-day climbing weekend and it stood up to dirt, kept me warm in changing weather conditions, and didn't even smell at the end of the weekend. It's not windproof and it's not a substitute for a puffy or more significant outer layer in cold or windy conditions, but it's a nice mid-layer. The hood is big and fits over my ponytail, which is a rarity for me, but it's great to have to keep in a little extra warmth. Zippered hand pockets are nice to have, and it's also plenty long. For sizing info I'm 5'8'/135 pounds and the small fits well, with a slightly baggy fit. The "Spruce blue" is also a lovely color - I'd describe it as a soft teal.
