Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mn from Southern california on Sunday, July 19, 2015A bit heavy but good if you are not trying to pack it. Haven't tried it yet in the cold. Runs a little large. I am 5-11 185 lbs and medium fits good
Verified Buyer Reviewed by DEE the school bus driver from BROOKLYN on Monday, July 13, 2015The Material on this jacket is not bad. I just wanted something to wear everyday back and forth to work. I drive a bus so I didn't need anything fancy. Its roomy enough for layers and the hood is comfortable. I have not worn it yet in the cold weather so I cant really comment on the warmth.

Reviewed by Brooding Boyd from Northern Arizona on Tuesday, February 17, 2015This jacket looked great online, but fit like a hot air balloon when I received it and wore it for the first time. Seems well made, but the fabric is rough to the touch, too.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Brooding Boyd from Northern Arizona on Friday, January 30, 2015This jacket disappointed me immediately. First, it didn't fit well at all; everything about it felt too roomy and cheaply made. The outer fabric felt odd, as in coarse and wiry and just odd; not something that I'd want to feel again. Also, the insulation was much thinner than anticipated.

You could use this for skiing if you choose. This jacket is insulated and is a low-bulk jacket which a lot of skiers prefer.
This really is not designed for skiing, but it's worked for me. There is no powder skirt, but the drawstrings around the bottom hem work. The length is a bit much is proportion to the shoulders/arm length, so I need to bunch the tight hem under the bulk of the jacket. A bit awkward, but I deal with it because the stretch and softness of the material I love. Not fully waterproof, but the resistancy has been great. I ran the faucet over it to test and no water was absorbed. I wouldn't expect it to shed buckets or rain though.
The jacket is water-resistant, but not waterproof.
I wouldn't trust it in a monsoon, but I tested it under the faucet. Running water directly onto it, allowing it to pool. No water absorbed.
The Felix jacket does not have a DWR treatment on it.
