Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mary the hiker from Utah on Monday, May 29, 2017I have worn jackets like this for layering in the winter, and ordered this one for that purpose. However, i ended up returning it because it runs large for me, and the length of the jacket and the sleeves seemed like they wouldn't work as well under a shell. I'm a fairly consistent size small, but this just seemed a little larger than I wanted. Otherwise, great quality, super lightweight.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Grace Note from Appalachian Trail on Monday, May 29, 2017Feels like nothing, but was the second you put it on. Packs very small or stuffs into a crevice between other items. A barely-detectable addition to your pack.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Thevail from Seattle on Saturday, May 27, 2017The jacket fit well, and of course, getting at a stunning discount here at Sierra trading Post didn't hurt! If I have any criticism of the jacket, it's that the fabric it's made of is pretty delicate. It's ultra warm and very very lightweight excellent from a packing perspective. Mountain Hardwear may have gone one step too far in the lightweight game though and has sacrificed a level of rip resistance to keep the weight down. That being said, so has almost every other manufacturer so it's not a deal breaker, just be aware that if you're looking to run some rough terrain (shrubberies, jagged rocks, etc.) you'll want a rip stop shell over it.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Rockup from California on Thursday, March 2, 2017I've only had this jacket for a couple of weeks so I cannot say anything about durability, but I can say that I am super impressed with the warmth, fit, and weight (or lack thereof)! Seriously, I don't know how something that weighs this little can be so warm!
I am 5'2" and 130 lbs and I usually wear small or extra small in tops. I got this jacket in a S and it is the perfect size. I have just a little bit of room in it so I can wear a heavy sweater or layers underneath. The fabric is kinda shiny, but its not a bad thing, but something to be aware of if you're opposed to shine. I also bought this jacket in the Bright Rose color and boy is it bright! My friends will not lose me in the woods in this jacket! It's very bright, but also a lovely shade, so I think I can come to embrace looking like wilderness Barbie a bit! haha!
So far the only thing that I want to change about this jacket is that it has no inside breast pocket and I want one! I want every jacket to have an inside breast pocket though as that is my favorite place to put my phone when I'm doing outdoor activities.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Skiqueen from WA on Tuesday, February 28, 2017Im small, but the arm openings were really tight. Would not be able to layer underneath.
