Verified Buyer Reviewed by fstop49 from Pennsylvania on Tuesday, December 26, 2017Bought this for my son who is a through hiker. It is the perfect in between vest for at home and hiking. Very warm and well make!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Robert from Oregon on Sunday, December 24, 2017This is the lightest down vest out there. And with the 800 fill it's really warm. its fit is normal (a tad on the athletic side) and long. I had read about the zipper but tried it anyway. Well, no one is exaggerating its quality....it's bad...for some this is a deal killer..it is that bad. My wife and I are the same size and she refuses to wear the vest even though she loves how warm it is. It was only the STP deal that swung it for me.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Grey Wolf from Pagosa Springs Colorado on Tuesday, November 21, 2017I received this as a birthday gift and I couldn't be happier. I read some of the reviews and there were complaints of the vest being cheap, or flimsy. This is not true at all. This is a high performance piece of outdoor clothing. It may feel light and fragile but that's because it was designed to be something you can pack and not feel the penalty.
It does seem to run a little big. I'm 5'8 and 160lbs and it is slightly big on me. I'm also a biker so take that into consideration (zero upper body). This things is awesome, you'll like it.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by 2Mutts from Eugene on Tuesday, February 28, 2017This vest is fabulous - one of the lightest on the market, packs down to next to nothing, and keeps my core warm. However, the zipper is a pita to get unhooked at the bottom and the cut is weird. I'm 5'8", 155 lbs and this vest is maybe cut for someone taller or carrying more around the middle. It leaves lots of room on the sides even with a base layer and a medium weight fleece top on. Not a big deal until you start bending over and around to do stuff and all the extra starts bunching up. It is also cut too long & hangs down a couple of inches below my OR helium shell. If I had paid full price, it would be going back, so thanks STP for the fabulous price.
