Haven't had the chance to wear it in the rain but comfortable, not so crinkly noise wise, easy zippers, and breathable as I was hiking in it without getting sweaty. Bramble is a beautiful purple color. Sleeves are long on me because I'm short but there are adjustable tabs so easy to remedy when I ... Read More

I'm 5'6 and 125lbs (thin) and I ordered a large for layering and I'm swimming in it. I'm thinking the medium might even be too big. I really like the outside material - it is soft and quiet and bendy unlike how stiff and crinkly I usually think Gore Tex is. The small amount of insulation is a huge selling point because I tend to freeze in cold, clammy weather, even with layers. I think this lining would really help take the edge off, although I haven't tested it because I'm going to have to return it for sizing issues.

I was surprised that the jacket felt more like a wind breaker material, but it Is much more durable. The first thing that I noticed was the stitching on the seam to the left of the zipper was coming undone and I hadn't even put it in at the point. Totally bummed.

Very good quality and color (purple). I usually wear a small in everything but it's a little snug and shorter than I hoped. Also the hood is HUGE. If you're worried about your hair getting wet, this is the jacket for you.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
