I haven't had the opportunity to use the jacket but I am hopeful that it will be perfect for winter in Montreal when it is cold, but not frigid as it is only 650 fill. I am 5'11, 205 and the large fits good at the shoulders; sleeve length is good, it is roomy in the torso but not too much, and I li... Read More

One of the best received gifts I have ever bought my husband. He loves this down jacket. He really likes the pockets because they are fleece lined and keep the wind out so he can go out without gloves and still have warm hands. He typically wears a large in shirts and an XL in jackets. I got him the XL and it fits well. He is 6' tall and nearly 200lbs.

This coat exceeds my expectations in every way. The STP prices can't be beat!

I am 5' 10" and the medium fit me well. Room for a mid layer but snug enough to keep warm. I live in Northern CA so we don't have really cold weather, but this jacket is definitely warm enough for our coldest nights (20's). (when active, lower). This jacket compacts well for travel, or as a layer under a waterproof shell. Can't attest to durability, but the jacket seems well made and up to MH standards.

Wearer states cut for arms is excellet, allowing full movement. Down provides great warmth with very light weight.

I needed a new warm coat for everyday use. This thing is sweet! I wasn't sure about sizing, I'm 5'11" n 220, and have had some mtn hardware stuff seem too small, but this coat has plenty of room to layer (got an xl). Length is good, i cant stand winter coats that end above the waist. And the fleecy collar is oh so nice!

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
