I have the Skyledge and it is a bit small for me, but really light. I am 6' 8" and I only use it when I am going long distances. This Lightwedge is a few pounds heavier than the Skyledge, but worth the weight. A ton of room and the extra storage space above the door is really n... Read More
Reviewed by Oops from Boulder on Thursday, September 11, 2014Tent received was different than the one pictured. It has a plastic hub permanently attaching the two poles. The brow pole has a wierd sleeve on it and attachments are less secure than the ones illustrated.
Another reveiwer told me theirs came just like the pic so I ordered a 2nd one hoping mine would as well but alas, same issues so it's going back.
I doubt STP will post this negative review. That's fine. But PLEASE fix the picture to match what you are shipping.
Reviewed by EZ Earl from Minnesota on Thursday, July 17, 2014Nice tent but be aware that the width by the door is wider than the back of the tent which is 52 inches. It wouldn't fit a queen air mattress so I exchanged it for the Marmot Ajax 3. Would recommend the Marmot over this one partly because it didn't seem to have very good air flow. There is only one door and no window.

I have the Skyledge and it is a bit small for me, but really light. I am 6' 8" and I only use it when I am going long distances. This Lightwedge is a few pounds heavier than the Skyledge, but worth the weight. A ton of room and the extra storage space above the door is really nice. A few things I would change are: wish it came with a footprint so I would not have to make one. Dropping some weight is pretty easy since the basic pegs are pretty heavy.

Reviewed by Jboy from Colorado on Wednesday, June 18, 2014I bought this to backpack with my kids. It fits the 3 of us very well. It is crazy light. Set up is very simple with the fixed center piece. You cannot mix up the poles. My kids 9 and 11, set it up in 5 minutes. We have used it only about 12 night so far, on backpacking and rafting trips, but it has performed very well.

No, the fly doesn't have vents. I don't know of any fly that has vents. The fly is meant to be pulled away from the tent body to allow reasonable airflow in hot weather and rain. It works quite well.
The fly does not have any vents but if you stake it properly, there is a vestibule type area where you could potentially store shoes and perhaps a small pack before you enter the tent. We found that provided plenty of ventilation for us in rain. We used the tent for a recent camping trip and it rained. We were very dry and comfortable. Even my boyfriend thought so and he's 6'2"! We love this tent.
Hope this helps!
