Before I ordered this jacket I read several of the reviews. Many of the reviews stated the jacket ran big. Ladies, I am 5"8" tall and wear a size 8 pant and wear size large sweater. (I do not like to wear form fitting shirts so I buy them a little large) I have an apple body shape. If you have ... Read More

I already own the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer jacket and was looking for something not quite so warm as that, but still warmer than a fleece or windbreaker. This jacket is the perfect in-between - great for temps in the 40s & 50s . Would also work great as a mid-layer for outdoor activities in colder weather. Very lightweight and easily packable. Although some reviews state it runs big, in my experience it is true to size. (Note, however, I did originally receive a size larger than what I'd ordered so perhaps that is the issue? STP customer service was FABULOUS and got the correct size to me very quickly). I would say the cut is different from the Ghost Whisperer, though, which has a very narrow, form-fitting cut - this jacket is slightly less form-fitting but still feminine & stylish. STP price was a great value. Very happy with this jacket!

I have been obsessed with this jacket (or this type of jacket) for a while now. I was so excited when I found in on Sierra. I was hoping for this jacket in black, but it turns out that the blue couldnt be more perfect! It goes with everything. It's bright enough for when I'm running or walking the dog, but not too bright to be obnoxious. I tested it out last night in the heavy rain for a short amount of time and my skin surprisingly did not get wet (?). I'm 5 ft 5, ~125 pounds and I ordered a small. I can't wear a super bulky sweater under it, but it fits well. Get this jacket before it is gone - great piece for a great price!

Great jacket for running around town. Light weight and stylish and just right when it starts to get chilly. Not the most technical outdoor piece but that's not what it was intended for.

This jacket is warm and light weight. It works well on its own or layered under a down coat for really cold days.

I bought this jacket and the thermoball from the North Face to try out as puffy jackets, and ended up keeping this one. The Thermoball was a little better fitting, with a longer length and bigger shoulder area (I have really broad swimmer shoulders), but this one was a little cheaper and I liked the blue color a lot more, plus this one is cheaper. I haven't worn it in sub 40 weather yet, but I can feel my own heat reflecting back at me when I have it on, so I have high hopes for having this as a mid-layer under a rain shell in rainy Seattle winter weather.
I don't like that it's a tad bit on the short side, and the chest area is a little tight on me, but I still have pretty free range of motion. I do like that it seems to provide considerable warmth for how thin and light it is. Overall seems like a great jacket for the price.
