I've been skiing, hiking and using the jacket for mild conditions, definitely a lighter weight jacket, but seems to block the wind well. Fits well - word of advice, if you have a bigger frame or muscular build go a size up (ie L => XL). A simple jacket yet very versatile, looks nice as well, not too... Read More

I've had this jacket for an year now and though I like it, I don't love it. I recently upgraded to an MHW Isomer and its the BEST for outdoor use. This is a practical, versatile soft shell made of polyester knit on outside and fleece inside. The fabric is smooth, but not too tough, already showing minor wear around hip belt and shoulder strap areas. It blocks wind only partially. Water repellent is decent, but soaks through quickly in a mild drizzle. I think its a compromise piece for urban/outdoor use where one jacket has to do it all. I prefer nylon based soft shells for backcountry, due to durability and water repellency, and poly for aerobic and urban activities.

In MHW I fall between L and XL with my 200lb, 5'10", 42"/36" (chest/waist) frame. This jacket the Large was a spot on fit with its 34" sleeves, so it seems cut a bit bigger than other MHW jackets.

I have not had this jacket very long but the time I've had it I'm glad I did. Kept me dry in the wind blown rain over the weekend.

I am 6'1" and 200lbs. XL was a bit full. Hoping STP gets in size large. Excellent jacket

An awesome mid-layer jacket for all seasons, with attention to detail Mountain hardware got this soft shell right, pull straps that are easy to get to and a wonderful feel to this jacket it will be one of your go to items in your wardrobe, whether it is to the office in the morning or a quick hike outside, this is one jacket you will fall in love with.
Now if you work in the City in which I do and look around, you will see everybody wearing soft shell jackets, why not make a statement about who you are and the clothing you wear with this stylish bold jacket that says I know what gear I'm wearing, outdoor clothing has become more than just for people in the know, it has become a fashion statement.

This is a very nice light to medium weight soft shell jacket. Got the XL, and it fits great (6'2" and 208lbs).. It's not totally wind resistant,as I found out on a couple of the cold and blustery days I spent in Hershey, Pa... But it does have some protection from the wind, it will make a great fall piece...
