Be skinnyReviewed by Arieswanderer from China, Beijing, Yanqihu on Thursday, February 1, 2018I have thigh muscles. With the pants on, I couldn't sit without a lot of binding in the thighs (and generally). Had to return.
Overall Good Ski PantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ryan from Colorado on Tuesday, January 23, 2018The pants performed pretty well overall. I have several other Dry.Q items, so the waterproofing performed as well as I expected. There are plenty of pockets, a few with waterproof zippers. They run a little on the large side. My biggest complaint is the vents on the inside of the thighs. They are simply openings with no mesh backing and they are big enough for me to put my arm through. I had to close the vents while skiing and open them on the chairlift, otherwise they were too wide open and snow and wind would blow straight in. My old Columbia pants had a mesh backing behind the vents so they would only open a little over an inch, which was just about right for skiing.
On the mark - Love these pantsReviewed by Ski guy from Colorado on Saturday, January 6, 2018Functional, warm, weatherproof. Love Mountain Hardware products and these pants are no exception. Lots of low profile pockets in all the right places. Comfortable, true to size chart/fit. Used for skiing in CO in variable conditions. Perfect for any ski day with a base layer and great on warmer days with no base. Thanks STP!
niceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ski from northern Michigan on Friday, December 29, 2017Well made. Lots of room in the waist and adjustable. Also thigh room for muscular thighs. Orange is a nice masculine orange.
Ski pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by NW rec seeker from Washington on Wednesday, December 20, 2017Very well made pants with plenty of pockets for storage, snow gaiters at the ankles, easily adjustable waistband. I returned mine, I wanted side leg zippers for easy on off.
Great pants, avoid grey!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Utah ski bum from Utah on Tuesday, December 5, 2017Pros
-20k waterproof 15k breathability
-fit adjustment tabs
-lots of pockets
-thunderhead grey is not grey... It's green.
-zippers are hard to use with gloves.
-vents have no mesh to keep out snow
Fantastic pants for $80... Just don't order grey and expect it to be grey. They are not perfect but they are a solid build that will last you years.
FitVerified Buyer Reviewed by skier from Connecticut on Sunday, February 19, 2017Very nice shell pants. The difficulty is the size range: medium is 32-34; large is 36 - 38. I found the medium too small and the large too big! Otherwise, very nice.
Bad sizing againVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bryce from Oregon on Thursday, December 1, 2016What is it with ski pants being made to fit men with absolutely no muscle mass on their legs and zero booty? Do most male skiers have chicken legs or something? I always wear a medium 32-34 inch waist in bottoms and they are almost always a little loose in the actual waistband (my waist fluctuates between 32 and 33 inches). I got these in a medium and with the waistband wide open, they were waaaayyy too tight. Also, way too tight in the seat and thigh. I had to return and size up to a large. The pants look great and appear to be very well constructed. Just know you may need to go up a size unless you have a very thin build.
