Yes, I would recommend this jacket but beware that you need to order up for non-restrictive movement. I think this jacket will be useful for skiing, snowshoeing, iceskating, etc. The color is great for casual wear in cold climates.

Love this jacket, it is soft, gorgeous-looking, and I wanted to keep it. BUT, if you have long arms, this jacket is not for you. The sleeves run short, and even in the next size up, they didn't fit right.

One of the most beautifully made jackets I've seen, with soft fleece inside and out. It's a bit heavy and stiff due to the windproof laminate sandwiched in between. No interior zipped pocket as described, but two large size interior pouches, great for passport, iPod, etc. The jacket is probably sized correctly, but felt like it would be too tight with layers underneath; a size up seemed like it might be too bulky; returned with regrets.

    • Cons: Constricts Movement

This jacket fits as though you are an upside down bowling pin. Very large on the top and narrow at the waist. The sleeves run long. It is very well made, soft fleece and nice color, just very different than most in sizing.
    • Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking
    • Chest Size: Feels too big
    • Cons: Bulky, Not true to size
    • Pros: Warm
    • Sleeve Length: Feels too long

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
