My boyfriend loves these!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Donna from Colorado on Tuesday, May 30, 2017I generally buy products for my boyfriend, and as long as it has plenty of pockets he will wear it. I bought these as he wanted hiking shorts, and I figured I may as well invest in a two-in-one. They feel durable, have plenty of pockets, and look stylish. I kinda want a pair for myself...
Great pants!Verified Buyer Reviewed by adk mike from Adirondacks on Monday, May 1, 2017Good fit, accurate sizing. Roomy but not baggy. Durable with appropriate fabric choices at all the right places. Well done!
Great PantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by NSDenver from Colorado on Tuesday, April 25, 2017I'm not a big fan of most convertible pants, but these work great. They are comfy and somewhat non-obviously convertible, they seem to be tough and durable, and they can still be converted to shorts if you so choose. I found them to be true to size and cut for an athletic build-- if you have trouble finding modern pants that have room for a butt and muscular thighs, these might work well for you. If you find that skinny pants fit you well, these are probably going to be roomy on you.
Best pants everVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lenn333 from Black Hills on Wednesday, April 19, 2017Love all the features on these pants.
From the "pen pocket" which i use to conceal my knife clip so it doesn't snag on stuff, to the water shedding material.
great trekking pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by El Fario from Patagonia on Friday, December 9, 2016fits the size, nice pockets and the zip-offs work great.
Good qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Leeky from Shanghai on Wednesday, August 31, 2016Mountain Hardwear hardly fails me, neither this time. But my fault to expect it thinner for "UPF50", especially "durable nylon canvas fabric through seat and legs", thick enough to better wear for spring and autumn. So, keep it for later wear.
Awesome!!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Eamon from Wyoming on Saturday, August 20, 2016Great fit, very comfortable, sized just right. Been wearing them in Alaska for 4 days and can't wait to get them out hunting.

“Do these pants gather on the bottom hem at the ankle? i.e. with a strap and buckle, or a cord and toggle? Also, what is the length of the inseam of the 'shorts' when the legs are removed?”
There are zippers at the ankles, but the do not gather. Converts to shorts with a 9" inseam
There is no hem hold. And im not sure bout the inseem length. But i can tell you these pands are amazing. Water beeads right off and super comfortable.
