OK, I loved these pants the first few days that I skied in them (dry, sunny days). The fit is perfect, they're warm, and the fabric has enough flex that you don't notice them at all when you're skiing. But today was the second day out on a snowy day, and I was soaking wet after about 2 hours. Not at all what I expect from a Mountain Hardwear product that's supposed to be waterproof.

I love Mountain Hardwear gear and these pants seem like they'd be warm, however the fit is large and loose.

These are the high quality that I expect from Mountain Hardwear. However, they are ill fitting in the hips for me. The hip/sides are rather poochy and look weird on me - they puff out at the pockets. I have more of a solid torso (not a narrow waist) and I don't have wide hips or big behind so bottoms are often challenging to find that fit well. Even snugged up with the velcro adjustors and a belt, the side puff was too much. Sent them back.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
