Nice JacketReviewed by Cj from Colorado on Friday, January 19, 2018Nice Jacket. Well made. Nice features. I wear a Medium in most things and this Jacket fits me well. The sleeves are a little long but not a deal breaker.
Nice SHELLVerified Buyer Reviewed by Minnesota bug free from MN on Saturday, December 16, 2017This is a nice shell and true to fit. There is no liner so one is needed if not super active, or if you live in MN. Great quality.
Great JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by dB from Elk Grove on Tuesday, December 12, 2017Husband loves it. Only thing I wish is that the hood was removable but it is a great jacket even so.
Really a great jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Coach from Colorado Rockies on Thursday, November 16, 2017It has the fit and features of a fine ski coat. It's all there: specs, techs and style. Sleeves are long (I wear a 36 sleeve dress shirt and the Large in this jacket fits well).
Not too baggy but will accept some layers.
Outstanding JacketReviewed by Coach from Colorado Rockies on Friday, November 3, 2017This is a perfect downhill ski jacket. Feature rich. Quality build. Well worth the offered price. Sleeves are long.
The fit is roomy enough for layers or a down sweater. The sleeves and body are long. I wear a 36 sleeve dress shirt. The Large size of this jacket fits perfectly. I would say it fits like most "Tall Large" clothing. Not exactly an athletic fit, but perfect for downhill. Looks sharp. Lots of pockets. Zippers are hidden nicely.
Love it!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sueri from WA on Thursday, May 18, 2017Fits great and love the color!
ChuterReviewed by E Sierra from Sierra Nevada on Saturday, March 18, 2017This is a great product. I have several other waterproof/windproof shells. However this is by far the best. Skied hard with spring conditions at Mt Rose Nevada with cold winds over the ridges. This shell paired with a Marmot breathable vest kept me perfectly comfortable all day. Didn't even notice the winds on the chair lifts. This is a very technical and extremely well maid product. The arms were not to long and came down just to the bottom of my thumb so with a good paid of gloves they were excellent. I tried the hood over my helmet once and it worked perfectly as well. I highly recommend this product. I also have a Phenix ski jacket insulated/waterproof but it is usually to warm. I can't wait to compare them next year in the heart of winter. I got mine jacket from Sierra Trading Post.
Great jacketReviewed by Ryan from Boston on Thursday, March 16, 2017As the previous review stated it's a very well constructed jacket. However, I disagree with the comment of an odd fit. I found the fit to be perfect. I'm 5' 10" 180 athletic build and it looks great with a tshirt underneath but also big enough to put multiple layers on below. I did notice while I was in damp snow for an extended time it started to soak into the dry-q material, never made it through but I wouldn't use it as a rain coat in Seattle. Still, best jacket I've ever owned.
Sizing problemsReviewed by brettsf from tahoe on Wednesday, March 8, 2017The jacket seems to be very well constructed and has all the features I like (pit zips, powder skirt, lots of pockets). However the sizing is really strange. The arm holes are very narrow but the jacket fit is relaxed. The armpit area is really small and has no room. There is really no way to fit a layer under it. I also question how waterproof it would be. If the fleece lining got wet it might be soaked through.
As a first time customer of Sierra, the shipping costs and return shipping costs are too high. Seems they make their profit in shipping fees
