Overall a pretty great jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dan from Nebraska on Monday, January 29, 2018Like the title says, this is a pretty great jacket overall, though I only wish there were a few things different about it. First, I feel like it's fitted on the large side (when compared to my other MH products). Especially around the stomach/waist area - this is definitely not an "athletic fit" or cut. Along the same lines, the front pockets feel like I have to stretch down to get my hands all the way in (again, like the torso of this jacket is longer and wider than I'd have thought based on the size I bought). A second thing I think could be improved about this jacket is that the hood is not adjustable. That is, there aren't cords to pull it tighter and fit it to your head, and I think there should be on a jacket of this caliber. I can see how the hood might actually blow off my head in high winds, though I haven't had it long enough yet to actually test it in high winds. Additionally, I don't get the sense that the shell will be all that tough, though again, I've yet to take it out and really test it. It feels like the fabric could tear fairly easily on rocks, etc. Maybe a more casual piece than performance, but I could be wrong.
Those things aside, I still think this is a fantastic jacket, and would absolutely buy it again, esp. for the price on STP (though I'd probably size down if I could do it over again). It's incredibly warm, and I love the stretch feature of the jacket. The stitchless seams on this thing allow the down to move (stretch) with you, which keeps you warm no matter how you move. And like I said, it's toasty warm. I'm really glad I bought this jacket on STP!
Great Jacket for priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by toms from nh on Saturday, January 20, 2018Seems like a great all around jacket for moderately cold weather. Wish it had two way zip so it could possibly be used to belay with but good all around winter jacket. Very comfortable, nice long length, nice hood, too shallow for helmet and moves quite nicely with you. Not sure I would look at for full $250 or so price but with the discount more than worth trying it.
Warm jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Casey in CLE from Ohio on Saturday, December 30, 2017Wore this jacket for several hours outside this week. It was 10 degrees and never got cold.
Very warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tracy from Alaska on Wednesday, October 25, 2017Got this for my boyfriend, he said it fits perfect and very warm. Thank you.
Bought 2!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Romulus from Rome on Friday, October 6, 2017Well, I only bought one for myself, but I liked it so much I bought the women's version for my wife. This jacket will get you through all but the coldest weather, but weighs next to nothing. The "welded" panel construction beats the sewn panels you find on many down jackets. Personally, I could do without the logo on the front, but at the price I paid, it's hard to complain about doing a little advertising.
