4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice jacketReviewed by Anonymous from Pacifica on Thursday, March 14, 2019This is a very nice lightweight, stretchy, comfortable jacket. I went up a size in order to layer beneath. I was worried that the atmosfear color would be too lavender but it’s really a nice light gray with just a tad bit of lavender. My only gripe is that the zipper is a bit hard to use. It has four pockets.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fantastic!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by imasherpa from Tennessee on Monday, February 11, 2019I have been a hardwear fan since the mid 90's and have many products from their line. I still have the EtherealI bought in 95 and it is still functional. I have rarely been disappointed in their technical gear. This coat is exactly what I was looking for. It is not a fashion fit as some other tech gear has gone to, it is roomy enough for a fleece or sweater underneath, the sleeves are long enough (I usually look for a tall fit) and the comfort level is wonderful.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Strange seam above pocketsReviewed by PTEP from NOVA on Tuesday, December 25, 2018Bought this for my wife, fit true to size if not a little snug, but returning for one main reason - there is a large seam that runs across the front of the jacket that's pretty pronounced. It's lower on the chest and above the main pockets, where the pockets are attached inside the jacket. If you look closely in the photos you can see it. There's a lot else to like about this jacket - It's quiet, stretchy, and appears well made - but it's a pretty unsightly seam for an otherwise awesome jacket. I'd imagine the seam will smooth out after a few wears but were returning for a different jacket.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight and waterproofVerified Buyer Reviewed by Carlota from Florida on Sunday, May 27, 2018I bought this for a long hike where weight and waterproofness are important. Have used it during recent torrential rains— check on waterproof. Would have liked pitzips for more ventilation, but of course they would add weight. Spacious fit but not baggy/boxy looking. I am a size 8-10, but got the large to fit a wool sweater and/or down jacket underneath.
Like another reviewer, I dislike noisy raincoats, and this is on the quiet side. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great discount on a quality jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Karen from Grass Valley on Wednesday, January 31, 2018I needed a raincoat with a hood and this jacket seemed to fit the bill. Mountain Hardwear makes quality gear and this jacket is well made. I haven't used it in the rain yet, but water just sheds off it. The xs fits me will with room to add a down or wool sweather. I am 5'2" and 102#. I like that the back is slightly longer to keep my butt dry.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Torzonic JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Sierra Nevada on Monday, December 18, 2017I love this shell! It's very lightweight and packable...I mainly got it for backpacking, mountain biking in inclement weather, and back country skiing. It's breathable and waterproof, so it keeps you dry and warm during heavy exertion. The fabric is quiet and stretchable, so it doesn't hinder range of motion. It doesn't have pit zips, but you don't really need them with how breathable the fabric is, and fewer zippers cuts down on weight! Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a very technical shell for wet or windy conditions. I use a Patagonia pullover down hoodie for an under layer on colder days and it works magically!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Light and ComfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bethany from Boise, ID on Tuesday, November 28, 2017I would absolutely recommend this jacket to anyone and everyone! It is lightweight, comfortable (not restrictive of movement), and the thing I appreciated the most - it's QUIET. In my past experiences waterproof jackets make that loud almost crinkly sound when you move ... this one does not. It's made out of a material I've never seen before, and I love it. Very soft to the touch. Plus, it's matte black in color instead of shiny black, which I also love!
For sizing reference: I am 5'8", 118 lbs and I ordered the Small so that I would have plenty of room underneath for a puffy jacket, vest, or any other number of layers. The XS would have been ideal if I didn't want to layer up so much.
