We recently experienced a 12 hour power outage in a snowstorm and my wife became hungry and wanted some hot macaroni and cheese. I had a package of the Mountain House version on hand and boiled some water on an alcohol stove and prepared it according to directions. The noodles came out a bit "al dente" which is fine with us, and the taste and overall quality was quite good. She is finicky, but she really liked it and it disappeared fast. Mountain House has been in a business a long time and is an industry leader. Recommended.
